Man Down.

So, you'll forgive me for the rather long absence. We had a bit of an incident at a friends birthday party a few weeks ago. Little Mister Noah fell awkwardly on a trampoline (which happened to be his wee mates birthday gift) and yup. Broke his leg. As you can imagine it was pretty horrendous at the time. He was in pain with it for a few days. And very frustrated as he was unable to get around.

Fortunately, the fracture, although pretty bad (a clean break through the tibia) was straightforward enough and from the X-rays we have been told it has already healed. Noah isn't in any pain and totters around in his cast, or bum shuffles. He's even back at play school. It's not easy though. He gets tired from lugging his big cast around and asks to be carried. He's very heavy so it has been tough on my back.

Even though the bone has healed, the doctors decided to leave the cast on for an extra couple of weeks, just to be sure. So it will have been 6 lonnnnng weeks all in all. And he'll have it on for his 3rd birthday this weekend. Poor wee pet. However, it comes off next week! On my birthday, no less. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift!

I'm so excited for him! And us too! Noah has not been a bit worried about annoying the neighbours with his incessant shouting for us... "mummmmmmmmmmy"... "Dadddddddddddy" x30,0000000. Cue us running up and downstairs all day only to be told whatever thought has popped into his head just that minute. Or "look at my lego robot". Or "red my favourite colour." I never thought having your 2 year old follow you everywhere, all day long, and constantly talking to you is something I would wish for. But it's better than your stationary tot shouting for you all the live long day.

I complain. But honestly, he has been such a solider. You know, I don't even think he was aware that the cast was going to come off at some point. He had just accepted this and was still smiling. He seemed so surprised when I told him it wouldn't be long until we go back to the hospital to remove the plaster. He was confused, stating that he was Noah with the broken leg! Awk. I told him his leg had healed. He was so excited at the idea of being able to walk, jump and run again. Aw, he breaks my heart.

So that's what we've been up to. Minus-craic. But it could have been worse. And sure, nearly time for Noah to get back on his feet. In other news, May turned 6 months. Where did that time go? She's sitting up, rolling back and forth, chattering, and looks almost ready to crawl. She's still a wee dream. Hardly a bit of bother.

As for young Jack, he's worked hard at school all year and is looking forward to the summer holidays. We all are. A break from homework and school runs is just what we need right now. Just another couple of weeks. Hoping for some more great weather! Laters! xo

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all you hardworking Mama's had a wonderful Mother's Day and were spoilt rotten by your kids! I'm happy to report I had a great weekend with my lot. We enjoyed a meal out in my favourite restaurant and spent some time outdoors in that amazing weather we're having. You know what good weather brings... amazing sunsets! We have been having loads. I love photographing at dusk.

Wee May - not so wee anymore! Isn't she getting big? She's 4 months. Squealing, coo-ing, rolling over, laughing. She's a delight!

And Noah started play school this week. He's only away from me for 2 mornings a week, but still. He's been my constant companion up until now, so it's a bit weird not having him with me. Jack fretted terribly when I left him for the first week of play school. Noah, not so much. Not at all actually. He was absolutely fine. He came out as happy as Larry. He can't wait to go back! Seriously though, I'm delighted he got on so well. Even if he doesn't miss me one bit!

Grampa turns 60!

14 weeks!

So I wanted to tell you about the award winning Original Cuddledry hands-free baby bath towel. We got to try it out last week. It's such a great idea. This long, soft towel, clips round your neck, allowing you to stay dry as you bath your baby (or splashy tot) and keep your hands free. Then, when baby is wrinkled enough, and squeaky clean, you can lift them right out, and get them snuggled up in the Cuddledry towel. The verdict? We love it! Even my sceptical, clutter-free husband, who's attitude is generally, 'do we really need this?' loves this towel. It's a bath time must-have. Note: it will not fit your 6 year old. At Jack's request, we have tried! However, I've noticed they now stock a snuggle fun towel for 3-6 year olds! We definitely recommend this towel. It would make a perfect gift for expectant parents! Thanks to Cuddledry for allowing us to try this out.

Granda.

16 weeks out!

Stars and Hearts (PJ Mamma Review)

Sibling Love Pyjama Set £21 (+£19 for extra set) PJ Mamma

Morning all! Storm Doris is upon us. It would blow your head clean off so I'm using the opportunity to catch up on my blogging. May is 3 months old! Honestly, where does the time go? I'm noticing she's developing a bit more of a routine. But sure, she's no bother anyway. So content. Even after her second lot of jabs on Tuesday. They didn't affect her at all, which was great because the first lot were tarra altogether.

Check out Noah and May in their matching heart PJ's! So cute! Let me tell you a story about a little company called PJ Mamma.

Sibling Polar Bear Pyjama Set £21(+£18 for extra pair) PJ Mamma

Becky created PJ Mamma after her son Tate was born. She struggled to find comfortable PJ's, so she created her own, which turned out to be a big hit. As Tate grows, so does her range of products, which now includes adult PJ's. The jammies are 100% organic and super soft. They come to you in a beautiful coordinated cotton bag too - brilliant for storing the pjs or something else! The range also extends to maternity PJs. I wish I had known about these when I was preggers!

We really love the PJ sets. So soft and cosy. And the simple prints are just to my taste. Wee Noah loves wearing a matching print with his "baby disster" (as he calls her). Thanks so much to PJ Mamma. Do check them out and support buying local!

Happy New year!

Happy New Year, folks! First post of 2017, and January is almost over. It has been a relatively mild one so we've been enjoying getting out and about. May climbed her first mountain with us at only 5 weeks, and accompanies us pretty much everywhere else with no complaints. She's as good as gold.

The boys are still obsessed with little May. She's a well kissed ba. 9 weeks old today and it absolutely seems like she has been here forever. How could she have ever not been a part of our family?

You'll find Noah clinging to his 'guys' (see above) most of the day. He's a real Marvel maniac. Sometimes you'll find Buzz Lightyear in among the lot of them too. He's a handlin' to have to carry around. And most days he wears his Spiderman costume, mask and all. Everywhere. On the school run. To the supermarket. Visits to grandparents. Yup. Spiderman is his very favourite. Noah is quite the character.

And just like that, the up-date is over and out. Later all. x
