Express Yourself


My Auntie Doris bought Jack some nifty 'Expression Flashcards' from the Early Learning Centre for Christmas. What a great source of entertainment they have turned out to be. When we use them we have a talking, reading and acting lesson all at once. Today, I photographed Jack acting out each expression which included: Happy, sad, surprised, angry, scared, and excited. I'll let you work out which is which. My favourite was surprised- I have included it full size below. An oscar winning performance, don't you think?

    I'm enjoying your photos...my one and only New Year's resolution is to learn how to really use the DSLR we got when my son was born. Your beautiful photos are renewing my resolve :).

    1. Thank you, Sarah! Great resolution. I shot everything in automatic up until about a year ago when I decided to start using it in manual. The results are way better and it's much more satisfying. I thoroughly recommend. Good luck!

  13. BTW there was a song called "Paper Moon" back in the days of my childhood! Unless an elder sang it to you, you are way too young to have heard it, but I can't help hearing the tune in my head when I read your blog title. :)

  36. This activity is so cool and he is so cute! My 12 year-old just joined an acting class this year. She is being placed in the youth theater for 13 years and up. It really is her thing. Maybe your little guy will enjoy acting too. Thanks for linking again on my Picture Perfect Party Linky!
