This photo cost me £25. Here's why.
I haven't had time to take portraits this week as I have been snowed under with product photography. This morning, I was taking photo upon photo of shoes, jumpers and dresses, which can be a pretty tedious process, so Jack and his Daddy were a welcomed interruption. As I had the camera and the backdrop out, I wasn't going to miss a quick photoshoot with Jack!
I was horrified later when I plugged the memory card into my computer only to be told all the images were corrupt! This isn't the first time my memory card has let me down. I had started to get into the habit of reformatting before every shoot, but it didn't work today, and to be told I had lost all my photos, which had taken a couple of hours of work to capture... Gutted! I really really didn't want to start photographing all the clothes again, but I was more disappointed to lose the photos of Jack. So, I had no choice but to pay $40 for some photo recovery software. It manged to recover most of the product photos, and all my Jack shots! What a relief! So, I have deduced that this memory card is faulty, and I best order a new one pronto.
I love these shots of Jack. He's such a sweetie with his little poses! You can see that his top teeth are well and truly through, and that hair, it just can't be tamed!
So, the recovery software - was it worth it? To me, it was worth every penny!
